Fav Joke

  • Jokes
One day a group of scientists got together and decided that man had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one scientist to go and tell Him that they were done with Him.

The scientist walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no longer need you. We're to the point that we can clone people and do many miraculous things, so why don't you just go on and get lost."

God listened very patiently and kindly to the man. After the scientist was done talking, God said, "Very well, how about this?

Let's say we have a man-making contest." To which the scientist replied, "Okay, great!"

But God added, "Now, we're going to do this just like I did back in the old days with Adam."

The scientist said, "Sure, no problem" and bent down and grabbed himself a handful of dirt.

God looked at him and said, "No, no, no. You go get your own dirt!"

Somethings Missing

  • Mood
I am loving my life here in Ft Worth Tx. I enjoy my new home and my school but I know what is missing. My family and I haven't found a church yet. I love the Lord and I believe in serving Him, and giving thanks for what he has given me. Because we haven't found a church I feel incomplete. I dislike that feeling very much. I pray we find a church really soon. You know how it is to make new friends in a new town its the same way with finding a church. I am praying God will show us the way.
Other then that, I am loving learning new design skills. My classmates and I went to Botanical Gardens to take pictures so we can include them in a brochure we are designing. I finally got a chance to use that camera I bought months ago. I am loving my Freehand class but Statistics is sucky, really sucky. I need an A+! I have received all A's since starting school; it woud really be a shame to lose my 4.0 because of Statistics class. Well I just pray that I will be able to work thing out to where I can make since out of that class. Hopefully I will have better news next week.

I have learned so much!

  • Mood
This week was a great one! I learned so much about design and colorization. I had a project I did for a very nice lady colorizing an old family photo. I wasn't too sure how it was going to turn out because it was my first time colorizing an old black and white photo. At the end it turn out better then I could have ever hoped for. I thank Nancie for the opportunity. We received progress reports at school and in my freehand class I received 100. Thank God, i am still on the A track. I thougth coming to a new school it would be hard but it turns out its a great challenge. I am sooooo loving my life! I pray it continues. LOL!

A Good Start

  • Mood
I have to say I'm very excited. It turns out for my first project at school working with the program  Freehand was a success. My teacher and classmates loved what I came up with. I didn't know they felt that way until my husband told me. He said after class everyone was talking about my work wondering how I came up with the design concept. I have to say my second week of school was great.

Starting Over

  • Mood
This is my third semester in school. I really should be in my forth but because the New Olreans campus was flooded out by Katrina my family and I had to start over in Fort Worth Tx. I really like it at this new school because everything is so advanced but I miss the people. There are so many new changes; first of all we have school on Saturday; second of all I miss my old teachers. My husband and I finished our first week of school. I have to say it wasn't that bad, maybe starting over wont be that bad!
